Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Still in Development for PlayStation 3

Way back in June, Electronic Arts announced that Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3they had halted development on the PlayStation 3 version of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, without much explanation or any indication whether it would be indefinite. Well now that the PC version has shipped, and with the 360 version on track for release November 11, it seems EA has refocused their attention on Sony's hardware -- speaking to VideoGamer, producer David Silverman confirmed that development of the PS3 version is back underway.

"When we announced Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 we announced there was a PS3 version, then we decided to go on the record and say that we've suspended it to make sure that RA3 was able to come out to the level of quality that it must adhere to to be called a C&C game," Silverman explained. "We've hit that mark, we've shipped the game. And you know what that means? That means there's another version left to be had. So there's definitely people working on a PS3 version and we'll be talking more about that later."

Moreover, Silverman even hinted that the PlayStation 3 version will have extra features that the PC or 360 versions don't, specifically mentioning the possibilities that are opened up with 1080p resolution and the added space of a Blu-ray disc. "If you're a PS3 owner and you don't own a PC and you don't have an Xbox 360, you don't have to write on your Christmas or Hanukkah list that you want to have an Xbox," he said. "You can play Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3; bide your time and you'll be very pleased. We're looking at doing some really cool things with the PS3 version. Since it is shipping later we're putting in a lot of cool content and really taking advantage of both the 1080p nature and the high-defness of Blu-Ray and also the fact that it can hold just so much more space."

No further details were given, including any indication of a release date, so you probably don't want to get your hopes up for getting Red Alert 3 on your PS3 for Christmas or Hanukkah, either. But hey, at least you know it is on the way, right?via

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 Cheats

Cheat: Libya

Build five or six demolition trucks. Make sure you have a fully charged Iron Curtain. Send the Trucks into an enemy base, before they come in range of their weapons, cast the Iron Curtain on them. They'll be invincable until they reach their target, at which point they'll still explode even with the Curtain on.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 CheatsHint: Last Allied Mission

There are many buildings. Use them to protect your base plus your Chrono Miner and repair it if it is damaged. You can get free GIs if you capture the Tech Airport up North. Garrisoned buildings work well against the Soviets as they have no form of air attack and usually forget to us their V3s.

Hint: Easy Money

To get an easy $15,500 jst follow these easy intructions.

1. Build 2 power plants side by side
2. Build a nuclear reactor next to them
3. Train 2 attack dogs, 1 infantry, and build a mirage tank
4. Move these units next to the reactor
5. Tell the mirage tank to attack the reactor and tell the dogs to attack each other
6. When the reactor's strength is in the red zone, finish it off with the infantry

This will destroy every thing in the area, but give you $15,500.

NOTE: Make sure it is far away from you construction yard, and that no other units are in the way. Otherewise it won't work. Also, it only works with the allies. The soviets have a different way.

Hint: Chrono Trick: Last Mission

On the last mission for the Allies you are required to destroy the "elite" black gaurd around the Kremlin. There are four three stripe veteran Apocalypse tanks (two at each opening). To defeat these tanks very easily simply use your chronosphere and chrono them into the nearby river (two at a time) and you never have to mess with them.

Hint: Free Infantry

Simply build the Cloning Vat, then build walls around your barracks so that no infantry units can get out. Now build any Infantry unit and because he can’t get out of the barracks you will be refunded the money and have 1 free unit thanks to the Cloning Vat. This won't work if you have the 1.006 patch or Yuri's Revenge}

Hint: The Magic School Bus (Soviet)

Take a Yuri and mind control a school bus (if they're on the map). You can put five infantry into the Bus and drive it into an enemy base, they won't fire on it.

Hint: Allied Advantage

In Multiplayer or scirmish mode, use spies to infiltrate all enemy battle labs. This is to train new units like the physic commando (he can use the mind control and plant C-4 on buildings). Later, if you capture the base completely (meaning all buildings) you will get the Yuri Prime.

Hint: Build Defense Any Where:

This cheat only works if you are America. First get your paratroopers ready. Then build a Prism Tower or Pillbox. I prefer the prism tower. Next click on the paratrooper tab. Then Wait a little while and click on the defense you chose. Finally click anywhere on the radar screen. The defense should be somewhere around where you clicked.

NOTE: This does not always work.

Hint: Tricks for Spies

Place a spy in an any enemy barracks for veteran (one stripe) men, or in any enemy war factory for veteran tanks etc. Place one in an enemy Allied battle lab for a chrono commando (has a rapid fire machine gun and explosives like Tanya). Place one in any Soviet battle lab for a Psi commando (controls units like a yuri, has explosives like Tanya) Having infiltrated battle labs, if you capture (or already have) a Soviet barracks, you can now buy one Yuri prime (two with cloning vats) with a long range for controlling people, and a chrono Ivan (just like Crazy Ivan, but chronoshifts). Place a spy in an enemy power plant to knock out their power for a while. Place one in an enemy radar of airforce command centre to bring down their radar.

Hint: Transport Your Entire Army:

The Soviets the armoured transport can take 10 infantry or 2 veichles. If you load an armoured transport with another 2 ATs that in turn are loaded with 2 more ATs that are loaded with another 2 ATs that are etc, etc, etc ........ then you can put your tanks and infantry in the final set that you make. Now you can transport your whole army across water!!! This is particually effective if there is some empty land near a river and near the enemy if you want to setup and you want to setup base there.

Hint: The Ultimate Tanya (Allied Only):

Build a Chronosphere then a Tanya and IFV. Put Tanya in it and use the Chronosphere to drop the IFV in the enemies base and deploy her. Get her to demolish as many building as she can.

Hint: Excellent Base Defense

Make 10-12 Yuris and place them all around your base. Put them as team1 (Ctrl + 1) then when an enemy attacks use the Yuri's 2nd attack. This should destroy most of the attacking force.

Hint: Good Use of the V3:

If you play as the soviets, one of the best way to use the V3 Rocket is to have about 3 Rhino tanks for each V3 Rocket to protect them. If you have about 5 V3 Rockets and 12 - 15 Rhino tanks you can take out a medium base! One of the reasons is that the V3 Rocket fire very long!

Hint: Chrono Legionnaire (1):

Put one Chrono Legionnaire inside an Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) to make a Chrono Fighting Vehicle. The Chrono Beam doesn't get any stronger, but your units won't die as easily.

Hint: Chrono Legionnaire (2):

Chrono Legionnaires packed together can even zap an enemy building out of time, try it. Ten Legionnaires and above give the maximum effect.

Hint: Chronosphere:

Want to have some fun with the enemy player? Charge up the Cronosphere and use it on the enemy unit, then drop it in the water. Watch the war miner go down to the bottom! Bye bye. Also try it on ships and drop them on land. Killing an entire infantry group is fun since infantry can die under the effects of the Chronosphere. Go ahead, try it!

Hint: Fun With IFV's

Rocket IFV: Don't put anything in an IFV
Machine Gun IFV: Put a GI in an IFV
Repair IFV: Put an Engineer in an IFV
Legionnaire IFV: Put a Chrono Legionnaire

Hint: Mobile Triple Nuke

You need to be Libia in order to have this vehicle, and need water in your map. Here is a list of needs:

4 demo trucks
1 hovercraft
1 crazy ivan

The cost together is $5200! For a triple nuke thats cheap enough... Now then lets arm the vehicle! Make your crazy ivan put a bomb on 1 of the demo trucks. Now quickly put that demo truck into the hovercraft before it explodes. Do the same with the rest of the demo trucks. They will not explode till you command the hovercraft to unload its transport! Now drive to your enemy base with your hovercraft, and command them to get out! It can destroy every single building/unit depending on how far away the building/unit is from the bomb. It will not explode if it is destroyed. Only if it is commanded to unload its transport!

Hint - Chronosphere Glitch

This glitch allows any Allied player who has the Chronosphere to use it infinitely many times, after the first charge (timer countdown) without having to wait for the countdown again.

This glitch is simple, but, precise. You will need a Chrono Legionnaire and a Chronosphere, then any unit that you wish to teleport. I'll continue with a step-by-step process.

1. Build a Chrono Legionnaire and a Chronosphere.

2. Once the Chronosphere is ready, activate Way-Point-Mode. Now, command the Chrono Legionnaire to freeze your Chronosphere, but don't commence the waypoint process yet.

3. Select a group of units to be teleported with the Chronospehre--- but don't teleport them yet-- just select them.

4. Now, after having your group of units selected and ready to tele, activate your way-point-path. Your Chronosphere will now become frozen in time. (This is a good thing for the sake of the glitch)

5. Immediately after you freeze your Chronosphere select where you'd like to tele your units. Despite the fact that the Chronosphere is frozen, you will still be able to teleport the already selected group of units.

6. As soon as you have teleported your units with the FROZEN Chronosphere move your Chrono Legionnaire, unfreezing the building. As soon as the building unfreezes it will say "Chronospehre ready!" Bingo - glitch done!via
